I have been working as a designer since 2015. In 2018, I made the switch to user experience designing from the hardgoods product design world.
I am often tempted to draw parallels, let it be a design process in the physical and digital world, behavior traits, or anything else of interest. I am always up for curious conversations to learn perspectives.
When I am not working, you can find me dancing, gardening, collaborating on trend research, or exploring cafes.
My Story
While growing up, I was inclined towards exploring, experimenting and creating from any material I could mould. Was sadly pushed into engineering due to societal pressure (I know it's pretty common), but I dropped out to pursue a lifestyle design course from NIFT.
After my bachelor's in design, I worked in the domain of furniture and home accessory design for 3+ years. During this phase, I found myself attracted to the design process intertwined with consumer emotions and the experience a product delivers. Hence, I went ahead to do my masters in the field of user experience design from NIFT Delhi.
While pursuing the course, I got a chance to have hands-on experience in user research and UX design for a Mumbai-based design consultancy, Future Factory. For my thesis, I got the opportunity to work with the healthcare firm GlaxoSmithKline wherein I developed a best practices model for implementing a lean innovation process. I also led the brand book guidelines project for Horlicks.
Post my master's, I worked with an ed-tech start-up Classplus, as a product designer. Classplus empowers teachers to move to a digital platform. There, I collaborated with the product, tech, and the customer success team to conduct UX research, build solutions, prototypes and check for the solution metrics post-handover.
Currently, I am working with SIXT research and development as a senior product designer for the car rental booking experience vertical. SIXT is in the automotive sector, providing car rental services majorly in Europe and spread across the US and other countries.
